Default 97 Chevy Blazer LT 4.3l 4dr 4wd

Hey there, just got myself a blazer for a pretty good deal, 169k miles though. I do suspect it needs a bit of work to get it back to it's full glory!

I checked fluids, everything seems alright, except I noticed the transmission dipstick doesn't seem to be coming out with fluid on it? I did notice a general fluid around the bottom of the engine area. It seems to be tan/clear.. Suspecting the tranny has been leaking for awhile? I saw some pan seal chatter with older ones. I also saw some rusty bits from the dipstick/tube come out on it so I suspect a flush is in order.

Any other things I should look out for that the 97's might be "known for"?

Thanks in advance!
