Default 98 Bravada with 4x4 xfer case

Hi All,

I have a '98 Bravada, but the Oldsmobile forums are kinda lame. Its basically a Blazer with crappy leather seats right?

This thing has 240K miles and I have kept the frame almost totally clean from rust. As my friend would put it, I "beat the bag" out of this thing on a regular basis. Full throttle every morning up the on ramp, 5K 1st+2nd. Never misses a beat. Original engine and trans. No shift problems or funny noises until recently. I killed the front axle pulling out stumps without 4 low. The "DumbTrac" was on-off-on-off-on-off while spinning the tires in mud. It now clicks its brains out whenever Im going under 10mph.

This may have been classified as a "luxury" SUV when it was new, but I use it as a utility vehicle now. I am very happy with the car overall.

I just bought a Blazer that was totaled for parts. I grabbed the 4x4 w/ low range xfer case. The front axle is going in on thanksgiving weekend. Ill keep the NP136 for the winter then do the new case in the spring. I am also thinking that I will do a 5" lift kit and start taking it off road next summer.

Hope to be active on here as long as I can make this car last!
