I paid 500.00 for my S-10 Blazer in September. Day 2. The alternator goes out.Day 3. The tensioner pulley for serpentine beltis crooked. It doesn't align with the other pulleys. Week 3. The oil sending unit fails and leaks 1 Qt. of oil per day.( with 80 -100 miles of daily driving.) I manufactured a shim for the pulley. thenI bought a ten dollar oil send. unit from the junk yard. (saving 100.00) With the extra money I did an oil change and bought new plugs n wires. So basically I'm turning this 500.00 rig into a 1000.00 rig slowly, but oh so surely!
