Default first time blazer/4x4 owner

hey everyone. my name is drew. i just picked up a virgin 2000 blazer LT 4dr which is my first 4x4 as well. i used to have a nissan pathfinder project, but it never saw the road or the trails before i had to get rid of it, so that doesn't really count.

i've already started getting it the way i want it. what i have so far is a 2"BL, 33x12.50x15 mickey thompson baja claw radials. i'm looking into getting a 2"SL, ZR2 front fenders and a full set of flares, an NP231 floor shift T-case, 4:10 gears, and maybe a winch. i have just finshed installing my stereo which consists of doing the "big 3" upgrade with 0G wire, 0G power wire to my amp which is a Rockford Fosgate T500-1bd. It powers my sub which is for the time being a single 10" RE Audio SX dual 2ohm coil cub rated for 1000rms, which i have put in a box i built that is tuned to 34Hz with 1.25cu.ft. i have some mis-matched speakers but they are all decent quality and do the job.

as for the ZR2 fenders and stuff, i am at a point in my life where a 2dr ZR2 is out of the question. i have a 9 month old son, and obviously he's still in a car seat, so getting him in and out of a 2dr would be brutal on a daily basis. plus i need the extra space of a 4dr. so if i can't have a 2dr ZR2, i'll make my 4dr at least look like one, and with the SL and BL, it'll perform just as good. i've been told that its a pain to get ZR2 flares to fit a 2dr, and i'd be better off going with bushwacker flares ment for the 4dr, but i can't justify spending that much on plastic fender flares.

i will have pics of her up soon, and will update everytime i do a mod. i look forward to being a member and getting/giving any info and help that i can.
