FNG from NE Oklahoma
Hello Everyone,
Been floating around here for awhile as a guest. Figured it was time to get an ID and maybe post some garbage lol. I'm a proud owner of a bone stock 97 4x4 LS which just rolled over 200k miles. Fell in love with these s-10s with factory camper shells about 8 years ago and been through 3 so far. I'm a mechanic by day, and beer drinker by night and decided to pull this tired old 6 after the timing cover starting puking oil. Still runs fine but I've wanted to wake her up for awhile now (tired of my wifes Cherokee running circles around me). I'm sure I'll get an earfull for not doing a V-8 swap, but I've made my decision and purchased a reman longblock. Nothing really wild, just a valve job, .30 over and silv-o-lite flattops. Outside I've got a summit dizzy, ebay intake, cheapo headers, wide open exhaust (gotta love Oklahoma) and have been working on a jet dst tune. I've got all the toys waiting in the garage and the block is due to arrive Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll make up a photo journal as this project kicks off and keep it posted here for anyone bored enough to watch me bust my knuckles. Love the forum and appreciate all the knowledge I've already absorbed through hours of thread surfing. Later!
