Great site for a PA Blazer owner
Joined a month and a half ago and just uploaded pics today. Here's my story.
My '96 Blazer (Rusty) had been sitting for a couple years before I got it and would not start without starting fluid and/or pouring gas into the throttle. Once started, it idled fine but wouldn't start up again without starting fluid. I didn’t have a gauge to do the fuel pressure tests (recommended here thanks), so I tried what seemed to be the most likely problem--the fuel filter. Wow that was tough even using PB blaster on the rust. I had to use vise grips on the stripped bolts. Anyway that did it. It starts right up now without even pumping the accelerator.
My other Blazer has an engine problem. Pieces of the engine fell out on my driveway after I was towed home. Before I junk it, I want to make sure it is not worth repairing. I will post a question about it in the engine forum.
Good to be able to learn and get help here.
