Default New blazer owner great site

I just purchased my first chev Blazer a few weeks ago due to spinal cord injury, I had to go to an automatic transmision.

The 4 wheel drive was not working when I got it, 4 auto verson.
I read through this site and got a handle on how it was suposed to be working. No lights on the buttons except for a micro second flash on start up.

Code set was encoder motor curcit.

after checking what I could has a profess do the wires and was advised change encoder motor. Found a doorman at localauto parts store for $250 Canadian.
Relpace encoder motor all works fine now.

Had low heat out put and checking here again found was not coming up to temp and seemed to get the same gas milaged as my 325hp vette.......

New therostat and rad cap, great heater not driven far enough to tell gass milage yet.

Rear wiper stopped when I put new arm on........turned out to be switch on window ( unlatched but not open ) likely remote in my pocket as never opened rear window, go figure that one.

This has been a great source of info and many thanks to all for sharing your thoughts and solutions.

Rick

That's why I joined as well.
Every time I typed a description of a problem in Google, a thread here came up in the top 5 and always had the answer I ended up using. It's got to the point that I search here first and Google only for part availability.
