Hello All from Central Id.
Just saying hello to everybody.
My name is T. Just a lil bit about me...I've always been a sucker for F/S Blazers and Jimmys since I was a youth. When I started driving in my teens my first rig was a '78 Chevy F/S Blazer w/ a 400 ci with a mild lift and 33's, F/T 4WD. The best thing I ever did to that thing was add a roll bar and swapping out the front axle and transfercase so I could have lock out hubs.
Then in my late 20's, against the Mrs.' wishes I found and purchased a stock F/S '84 w/ a 350 ci as a "play" rig. Besides more aggressive tires, I left it in stock trim.
Most recently, I stumbled across a stock '92 F/S 2 door w/ a 350 ci. My son will be driving soon w/n the next year or so. I plan to give it to him when he starts driving. In the mean while, I'm planning on adding a few bolt on performance accessories with possibly a mild lift and tires.
IMO...F/S Blazers, Jimmys, and yes even Broncos (I know right?) were some of the best all around rigs I've ever purchased. Though not the best in fuel economy...it has done everything I've ever wanted to do "after the pavement ends". I think it is darn shame GM quit making these rigs. M/B GM will bring these type of rigs back in the near future (Why not? They did with the Camaro.)
Thanks for reading, T
