Default hello from cowconsin

just sold my 03 hyundai tiburon gt and bought a more family oriented vehicle. found an 01 blazer with 125k miles on it for a decent price. It has seating for 5 AND 4WD....so now for the first time since...ever....I cant WAIT for a wisconsin winter. a couple questions tho, I have ...2wd, 4lo and 4 high for buttons to push to get in 4wd, but mine is the LT so it has auto 4wd as well. one of my friends said that I possibly have a locking rear end since I have the auto 4wd??...also, any mods that anyone could suggest to give it a little more pep, like cold air intake, performance chip, aftermarket exhaust? I would like budget friendly performance suggestions if possible....and is it dumb to put larger tires on without a lift kit?...I heard I can put 31's on I just want something meatier than the tires that are on it, kenda klever 235/70/r15 but I dont want an annoying hum when I drive on pavement (98% of the time) but I dont want to lift because the blazers are already pretty tippy arent they? also where is a good place to find good parts at decent prices?...I would like to get a brush guard (they help prevent front end damage when you cannot avoid hitting a deer among other things)

Welcome, look for code G80 in the glove box, for locking rear end.
Everything you mentioned will help a little bit.

You could fit bigger tires if you wanted to without a lift. 30's wouldnt rub. i just took off my 235/70/15s and put on a 235/75 looks a little better mostly becuase i bought a beefier tire for it. not too loud either, a cold air intake wouldnt hurt also. might bring out some hp and add a little fuel economy at the same time
