Hello dear members, pls help stuck with 98 Chevy in Europe
Hello my name is Attila, have a '98 Blazer 4,3 Flex auto 4 door 4x4 but also heco en Venezuela, so it is like the 1996-1997 US versions, my VIN is 8zndt13w8vv315528 I cannot decode it as imported to Spain but carfax could tell me it is ok, I am the eigths owner. Have a Wrangler TJ II same year but love the Blazer more.
Before Christmas long story short broke my throttle accelerator cable AND in europe there is nothing. From ebay people are afraid to help with a '98 Blazer.
please somebody help me how and from where I can get one working, shipped to me. (Either Hungary or to Spain, Canary Islands which has a unique system for customs so pain in the a...
anything just help please. Tried Germany, Spain, also salvage yards 0.0...0.
I found one in ebay it says 'For 1996-2000 Chevrolet Blazer Throttle Cable 85861ZG 1997 1998 1999 4.3L V6' but do not know if it fits mine if it works.
Please help me!!! No car, family cannot use lovely old Chevy. Thanks anyway for even reading it!!

The second generation Blazers have very many parts in common. However, it is good not to assume this is always true.
What I do when I want to check rhe fitment of a part is to use one of the General Motors parts retailers to see if a specific part will fit my vehicle.
I prefer sites like this one that allows you to enter the year, model information, etc., or the VIN of your vehicle: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/
Then with my vehicle information supplied to the website, I search for the part number of the part I suspect might fit my Blazer. When the part is found, the page for the part will have a message indicating whether or not it will fit.
You still might have to consult the VIN and RPO code sticker that is located on the inside panel of the glove bix door to confirm fitment.
I hope this helps.

Then, I already did all this you mentoned but regardless thanks again. You all have a nice New Years Eve and a fault free prosperous new year!!
otw my VIN is legit but from South America and a totally different system, even this VIN decoder says it is illegal number. But as mentioned I could do it for 20 Euros by carfax so that is clear.
GMparts I chated yesterday and sent me to local Chevrloet dealership. For the record: in Europe they know nothing from a 25 years old Chevy which was made in the Venezuelan factory of GM. They have mentioned to me it is discountined. Even my European smart..ss knew this but of course I am greatful and manage somehow. Just in Facebook S10 or other forums do not like questions. Now that we live in Europe and this is a classic or more than 20. years old Chevy it is more difficult. Plus WHO ships here?? But I will not give up. So again thanks for the positive attitude. This Forum kicks a... so nice people. Heartbreak of America is still winning!! So will we in the end. Also the link you shared, thanks for that is golden!!
