Default Hello from down unda

Hi all, thought i'd join the forum finally.

I have a 2000 TrailBlazer LT here in Sydney, and was wondering if some of you could help me.

Finding spares or parts over here is pretty hard (theres only about 5 blazers i know of here in australia). Could someone recommend somewhere in the US that does international shipping?

Cheers and HI!

Sure it's a trailblazer? I know there are a hanfull of regular Blazers in Aussie (LS & LT models). If memory serves me correctly, there are already 3 Aussies on the forum. If I recall there were 2 up in Brisbane & one in Melbourne. Not sure who they were. There are quite a few Kiwi members here but I am probably the only active one at the moment.

Parts are an issue. Bunce motor co in Auckland had, for a while, imported used trucks for spare part supply & also bought write off from insurance companies to supply the market. I believe, at the time, around 2000 were imported into NZ then the fuel crunch killed the imports.

Your best bet is to contact a Chevy specialist in Aus. They will either be able to help or import is the next option. If your truck is RHD then the RHD bits will be an issue. Having said that the above mentioned company will be able to help.

And, by the way, welcome from Kiwiland.

Heya!,

Yeh she's a 2000 Trailblazer, awesome truck!, she was bought in cali converted RH drive, so far ive found a few commodore VT bits that work with it, at least GM had the foresight to use some of the exsisting line of parts, im after a fuel pump and tensioner for it (think the fuel pump might be shot and the tensioner is noisy, annoying more than anything).

That's pretty sweet looking. Now let's see the front! Where was the conversion done?

I know there are a few Chevy specialists in Aus who do mainly the full size trucks - like Bunce & a few others over here.

And yea, of the same era, I believe Holden use the same motor & transmission. At least that's what the Holden guy told me a while back. Holden of the same era use the same motor although I think they call it the alloytec in Aus. And it's only a 3.8 ltr. I'm not a car buff so I may have it wrong. I recently had my tansmission worked on & the 4l60E was listed under Holden in the garage's book.

The only front end pic ive got at the moment:

Still have the headlights to replace, using black projector headlights with a HID kit, still have to respray her although im deciding on what to do yet (im an airbrush artist).

At the moment she's up on a hoist while i get a fuel problem sorted out, wants to cut out after 30seconds of idling, im thinking fuel pump although the mechanic seems to think it might be distributor (cant see the connection), im more inclined to think that if its 'starving' its pump, but thats my assumption.

Mods done so far:
18" Starcorp Gold series mags
Sony XAV6 Stereo
Cadence 12" Subs
Sony Xplode 4x500 AMP
LED festoon interior globe
Orange LED feet Leds
LED Rear tailights
LED 3057 Globes
Lowered 1" 1/2

Mods left to do:
replace headlights
HID Kit
Supercharger
Lowering another 2"
Painting and airbrushing the entire truck
Custom tinting the front windows
Tidying the engine bay
trying to hunt down an A/C compressor (mine is missing the part# and its causing a head ache trying to find one)
Sort out fuel issue

Might look into the parts on the commodores and see what can be used, have a mate at holden that should be able to help there, the fuel pump looks like a holden/commodore item so im hoping its not that different, if it is, then i might order one online or email that co in NZ (thanks for that)
