Hello out there new (used) blazer member here!
Hey out there,
Just greenhorn here needing some advice to get tech savvy with my 1999 Blazer 4WD.
I purchased my Blazer less than a year ago as a second car to replace my old faithful 280K milleage '86 Chevy Caprice. After looking for awhile I found my Blazer 300 miles away in Eastern WA from the elderly original owners(window sticker, brochure etc). It has 106,000 miles loaded with options like the LT though is an LS. I paid $1,200 with a bad transmission (no O/D nor reverse) and had it rebuilt for $1,300 through a friend of mines cousin. I really fell in love with the Blazer with all its utility and perfect size (easier to park than the Caprice). The Blazer was unbelievable in the last Seattle snow storm we had and kept my '04 BMW 3 series parked in the garage.
I did replace both L & RH wheel bearings right away though noticed steady oil drops in the rain. It is an oily mess by the oil pan and I bought a oil cooler line to the oil filter to replace. My question is, do most blazers have this issue, and where are the majority of oil leaks come from? My old Caprice did make a drop or two every now and then though nothing like the Blazer. Any help would be great, thanks for reading my long post.

Welcome from Alberta!
Yeah like Thogurt said, the leaky remote oil cooler lines are very common. The crimps on the end of the hoses are very prone to developing leaks after a year or two. There's a few people who have tried different methods to solve that issue.

Thanks guys, 2 things I have to do this weekend , deal with oil filter lines and remove the dash cluster (did it before)for the odometer lights. The odometer lights worked intermittently when I first purchased the Blazer so I removed the cluster and checked carefully for broken solders. Found no broken solders and cleaned the connections. I reinstalled the cluster and odometer lights and they worked.....for another month. This time I'm taking the cluster to a shop.

Quick pic
My Blazer at the VW show in Seattle last year.
By the way, that's not me in front of the VW beetle.....I was helping another buddy that was showing his GTI. I'm strictly a classic Detroit car guy and also own a '69 & '70 Impala for nice weather cars (besides my 3-series).
