Default Hello, from Pomona, NY

Hey all, just wanted to formally intro myself (though I have had a post or few here, and have been reading extensively for a bit).

Name is Noah, 30 in June, I'm a (always learning new things/not very experienced) mechanic, and I've got a 94 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 with the CPI engine.

I previously had an 89 S15 Jimmy, with a 4.3 TBI engine, and I liked it so that when something went too bad for my taste (transfer case), I decided to keep it in the family, so to speak. I've never technically owned anything but GM vehicles (2 Chevies, 1 GMC, 1 Oldsmobile), though my mom's Honda is basically mine and I do drive that when I absolutely would need to (haven't had to in some time).

My current one has ~154,000 miles, but it runs pretty strong, but for some issues... Either a lifter or worn cam lobe, and a fuel consumption thing (peaky... sometimes OK, sometimes not... changed FPR, and restored original PCV valve-Delco, and it's improved somewhat, lines in upper plenum are leaking, gonna get to that).

I've got a K&N filter (not the CAI, yet), and a Dynomax cat-back system on so far. Looking to lift it and put on some 31x10.5 Dick Cepeks, Dynomax headers and high-flow cat, as well as a new front pipe, the aforementioned K&N CAI, and MSD ignition sytem, some headwork (I've read that these heads flow like a toilet after a dozen truckers have got to it: not that well!), and perhaps think about another cam when I get closer to fixing the lifter/cam issue.

Anyway, I'm a huge fan of these trucks, particularly the 1st gens, so much so that I've convinced 1 friend to actually buy one, I gave my 89 GMC to my buddy, just so he could enjoy it a bit (I expect he'll upgrade when he has the funds, it runs well, but who knows what kind of issues it'll develop).

So, just wanted to say hello, and if any questions, fire away!
