Hey what's up
Hey I have a rear differential question. A while back my k-5 had a 3.73 rear gear and the spider gears broke on it, so we swapped it out for a 3.08 rear gear. Well she is making the noise again so am going to be swapping out rear diff's again. I was wondering if I could take a front diff and put it in it's place? Any help will be get.

You might have better luck. I have replaced a couple axles in my K5, the first time because my Ring and Pinion got destroyed.
I'd look into finding out the issue. What size tires are you running? Anything above 33s on 3.73s might cause things to break. I had 2.73s with 33s when I broke my ring and pinion and I'm pretty sure that's what caused it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty sure it is the spider gears again, it was a used diff from the junk yard over 10 years ago. But I won't know for sure till I open the case. It's stock tires, no horse play or fast driving. But I did make a haul that was about a ton, and had to make a couple long drives that were at 65mph so I think that was the breaking point.
