I have a bit of frame rust, particularly on the body mounts. What is the best rustproofing solution for the crappy salty winter roads up here in PA? Get some do it yourself truck bedliner.. or have line ex or rhino liner or whoever spray along the undercarriage. Particularly the frame of the truck.
"Do it yourself bedliner", cool, I like that idea for the inside of the lift gate. I will look into some good undercoating for the undercarriage.

I have a '63 Scout that me and my son did a frame-off resto on. While the interior was gutted getting it sandblasted and repainted, and the seats reupholstered, we had the interior sprayed with Rhino. That stuff is awesome. Thanks for the ideas!

Dang! Lots of replies from you guys! I have obviously subscribed to this thread but have not been getting any email notifications of replies. Bummer!!

I checked my email address in my CP and double-checked my spam settings in my email server. No emails from this forum. Oh well, I'll get it figured out.

Anyway, thanks a lot for all your responses and ideas.

have a good one Rob, hope you have fun with your new toy.
This truck has the factory AM-FM-CD with Auto Tone Control (if that makes sense).

Regarding the mirrors, you are right, I think its a switch problem, because the "right" button works for both mirrors (if you press real hard) but none of the other directions work for either mirrors. I will trouble-shoot the switch. (Along with the heated seat control rocker, which is pushed into the trim plate...)

Oh well, I love projects!

Welcome back, BlaziNator.

I just noticed your location, "Brownwood". It is a real small world: I was born in Brownwood, about a billion years ago. I used to go squirrel hunting with my grandpa in the Camp Bowie area.

Whoa, that's going way back in the Wayback Machine!
