Mechanics seem to frown on older vehicles, I guess because many of them can be a real pain in the *ss, with constant reoccurring issues, something there busy line of work doesn't afford them. Also, when they see someone who drives an old car they think that person doesn't have the money to afford such repairs and they may get screwed on the bill. Working on these trucks isn't rocket science, you can do it yourself and have the satisfaction of learning and knowing your truck inside and out. My $.02 anyway!!!
