Hi all
Hi there! I'm new (obviously), and I found this forum in my searches to keep my old girl running.
I drive a '91 S10 Blazer, 4.3L, a/t, 160,000+, stock everything.Last year I drove her from Fairbanks, AK to northeast OH towing a stuffed 8x5 trailer, and packed with camping stuff, 2 dogs and my brother. It was a great trip and she did such a good job. The transmission did catch fire in Indiana, but one rebuilt tranny and 17 months later she's going strong. She's my dog-hauling, home store-visiting, camping, moving, machine, lol. Very utilitarian and I like it that way.
At any rate it takes some creativity and a lot of awareness to keep her mobile and that's where this forum comes in. So far, it's been very interesting and helpful.
