Hi From Southern Oregon
Hello everybody.
I joined this forum to be able to access all the information from those that have blazed the trail before me (and hopefully avoid some of the headaches by learning from your mistakes ).
I sold my Jeep Wrangler to get an S-10 Blazer, as the limited luggage space in the Jeep was cramping outdoor activities if more than 2 people were involved. LOL I have always loved the S-10 Blazers, and have had several in the past. The one I settled on is a 1997 LS that has a rebuilt 4.3, and a very low mileage rebuilt transmission. The gentleman I purchased it from was rebuilding it for his daughter, when she decided she would rather drive a Honda. Her loss, my gain.
For the time being, I am going to just drive it and enjoy it.l It is really nice being able to drive it with one hand (unlike the Jeep!). Immediate future plans call for lifting (body and/or suspension) and tires and wheels. Longer term plans call for power tweaking. Long term dreams might include 5.3 swap and a SAS.
But until then, I am just going to have a blast driving it on and off road!

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you got a blazer that had been well cared for. I look forward to seeing your progress with your plans!
A lot of people shy away from body lifts on these because of how much frame already shows, but it's all personal preference. There are a few available suspension lifts that people seem to have good luck with. I'd say just go SAS, but I'm biased

Thank you chevyriders. It looks like you have some fun stuff in your stable! I look forward to looking through your threads.
Yes, the frame does show quite a bit already. However, I hope the nerf bars will help hide that!
