Default Hi there

Hi everyone. I'm buying my SIL's 2002 2 door, 2wd LS in the next week or so. She has owned it since new and it has 85K miles on it. The only issue I need to work through is the smoker smell. Hopefully some Febreze and carpet shampooing will take care of thought.

Looking forward to doing a little customization in the near future. Lowering, better wheels, tires, etc. Nothing extreme, just an overall improvement in ride and stance. Maybe performance later on.

I'm coming from a '99 Yukon SLT 4wd that has been a tow vehicle for our camper. We're selling that and getting my wife a newer Tahoe to tow our camper with.

I'm taking the Blazer in today for a pre-purchase inspection. Not that I expect to find anything that will kill the deal, but just to know. I'm pretty sure it needs shocks and a driver's door window actuator. It is "thunking" when the window is up all the way.

Thanks. I'll definitely be trolling for ideas.

After much thought, I have bought the Blazer from my nieces, fully knowing it needs some work. They offered it to me for $500, so I couldn't turn them down. It looks great on the surface but needs some oil leaks fixed prior to me using it that much. Here are a few pics:
