I just bought a 99 Jimmy from my uncle, it has been setting for a while (he does occasionally start it and move it). He replaced the intake gasket but thinks it needs replaced again. So I found my way here to gather all the info I can before I year into it. I will be doing a full tune up on it while I'm changing the intake gasket as well. Thanks for all the knowledge that has been posted it is an unbelievable help. Oh, one last thing are the 99 blazers and Jimmy totally interchange when it comes to engine parts?

I'm pretty sure the mechanicals are interchangeable.

 

Yes they are the same, as long as it came with the same options. Engines are the same tho. As well as the engine from s10 and sonoma from that year.

Welcome 2 the Forum... As others have already said, most if not parts are compatible... About a year and a half ago my tranny kicked the bucket on my 98 Blazer LT 4x4 and I found a tranny at my local salvage yard that came out of a 99 S10 pickup 4x4...
