Default Inheritage 2002 Chevy Blazer

Hello
I recently inherited my grandmas 2002 Chevy Blazer; it has super low miles (60k) and runs like a charm, but there has always been problems with the sensors; the "check engine" and airbag lights go on and off intermittently. I have had it worked on recently and there are no issues so we think it's just a faulty sensor issue.
I need to get it inspected soon and I know it won't pass if the sensor lights are on-can I turn them off myself or is it difficult to do? Any advice is appreciated thanks!

You'll want to post the specific error codes to get more precise help.

As for the airbag error, a not uncommon fault is with one of the crash sensors/ accelerometers under the front bumper. If this is the case, there will be a specific code for it. To read this, the code reader will need to be more capable than the simple cheap ones.

Just adding to Christine's post not trying to take over. You can use Car Diagnostic Pro for Android to read the airbag codes. Need a bluetooth OBD2 adapter to work with it. Total about $35.

Welcome to the forum. FYI, you won't go wrong listening to Christine and Les' advice. I hope you are able to sort out the codes on your truck and get it all fixed.
