introduction
howdy folks, i bought a '94 S10 blazer 2 door from my neighbor for $400.. it needs a ton of work.. but I hope to have it back on the road very shortly. I've already replaced all the brake lines from the ABS motor to the rear axle...
i was told it needed a fuel pump.. because no pump at key on.. I got it home and after some diagnostic work discovered the problem was no continuous power to the ECM. Come to find out, he originally bought it from a buy here/pay here place, and they had a remote kill switch on it. and I suspect when they removed it, there was an issue with where it was wired to interrupt power to the ecm. since I couldn't figure out where that wire physically ran once it disappeared through the firewall, I ran a new wire over to the fuse block and installed a fuse tap on ECM-B - problem solved :>
now i'm working on getting the power windows operational again... and then the part I'm dreading.. tearing the dash out to fix the blend door motor in the HVAC
