Power outlet

Even the cig. Lighter outlet by the ashtray? I'm pretty sure that one stays on all the time in my 2000.
EDIT: to answer your question, you could wire it into a battery constant circuit, red wires behind the dash should be battery constant.

There is likely a relay or switched power supply to the outlets that you might be able to bypass. But as Error_401 wrote, be sure to use the proper sized wire/fuse set up.

Great post. I’m curious if someone modified it before you got it. Typically, GM loved to have their lighter plugs “always hot.” It makes sense for things like air compressors, spotlights, or even using the lighter itself (which is a great emergency survival tool BTW, which is why I still want one, even though I don’t smoke). The downside is that in the age of modern accessories like phone chargers, GPS, and FM transmitters, switched is far more practical (if you’ve ever delivered pizza, you really appreciate the switch shutting off your car topper).
I’m looking to leave the ash-tray plug constantly hot, but putting the double plug below the dash on a switch. That way my FM transmitter/phone charger and GPS will turn off with the key, then turn back on when I start it. Just looking for the best circuit to tap into.

This is my second blazer... I used to have an 01 but regrettably had to get rid of it... The love of it is why i bought this 03... That and the price was right... You maybe right about it... I havent driven it in a year since I've been working on it... NC sucks for car registration requirements... I'll have to get the battery charged and check it... The radio kept trying to eject a cd even though there wasn't one in there so i replaced it...

12 volt sockets
yes run a separate wire to the full-time like the memory on the radio or the emergency flashers interior lights or even exterior lights or horn
