Default Just bought an '87 S10 Blazer

Okay guys, so I just bought an 1987 Chevy S10 Blazer that has a bad clutch in it. It has the 2.8 V6 engine with the 5 speed but no RPM meter at all (Why?) I have heard mixed reviews on the 2.8 engine. Is it a good engine or not? It has 202,000 miles on it and seems to run fine but right now it's only been idling due to having no clutch. How long can i expect the life on the 2.8? Also, where are some good places to get parts for it? I also want to paint it, but where do i get the paint and how much would it cost? And I want to lift it about 4 inches or so, should i just do a body life or do a suspension lift? Kinda excited with this car and have until December to have it up and going. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum from Jersey. I don't know about the 2.8, I have the 4.3 in my '89. Try Jegs, Summit, or LMC Truck, also try JC Whitney and your local autoparts store (Pep Boys, Autozone, CarQuest, and Napa). As for paint, you can get it at any automotive paint store and online.
