Hi so I'm completely new @ owning an SUV heh but hell i picked up a black 97 Jimmy with approx 170k miles/273k kilometers on it for a whole $500...
Yea it has some issues and i will be making some posts on the 4x4 as its just strange and likely just a vac line problem :/ - there's a PS leak - drivers window isn't goin down and so on n so on lol but hey it was $500 and runs!
i'll get around to posting some pic's of it when i get a chance to snap some new ones, yea it has some of the common rust just starting on it but over all there's barely any on it. the frame however is rusty but nothing a good sanding and paint wouldn't fix and nothing's rusted that bad you can push thru on it. It came with tires that have about 1/2 inch or better tread on it still on the GMC alloy rims
Future plans include fixing the gas leak today and PS Leak today as well
looking forward to talking to you all about the failures that occur with my new vehicle, oh as a heads up i also own a 2002 Chevy Cavalier with a 3400 v6 under the hood for my summer car
that playtoy is fun for sure so i hope to make this jimmy just as fun for offroad/winter driving !

welcome. I drove a cobalt with the 2.0L high output 4 cyl fun as well. I could imagine that little car with a 3.4

i pulled 15.2 @ 93mph ish in the quarter with it. the motor is still stock other than a CAI and a tune (yes as well the LIM was changed out for a metal one to prevent the ever dreaded leaks they get there.)
