my sons 98 jimmy
I recently bought my son (16 yr old) a 98 GMC Jimmy. We have been working on it together trying to get it road ready for him this winter. Although I’m a carpenter by trade and pretty handy with tools...being a mechanic has never been one of my strong suits, with a little knowledge and help from my friends, they've always seemed to point me in the right direction.
Our next challenge are the brake lines...hopefully with a little guidance all will go well. After this I think she's ready for the road. Wish us luck! Winter will be here soon...
Any helpful hints will be appreciated...

thanks for the heads up on the search posts and the welcome...i have a feeling i'll be back more then once...or my son will.
no pics yet, i'll have to ask him to snap a few on his phone so we can post them. know what you mean about buying your own, i did the same at 16...but silly me bought his oldest brother (who is 30 now) one when he turned 16 so each one after that would ask were theirs is...this is the last of four, what was i thinking . oh well, i know they laugh about it with their older brothers. Some how the older ones didn't get as nice of cars as the two now a days did. must be the difference in my income from 30 to 48 yrs. of age. lol...thanks again for the welcome.
