Default New Blazer Australia

Just picked up and registered a '99 build (1sr Reg 2000) LT Blazer, Japan spec.

Everything works, only 39,000 kms, needs a good cleanup though.

Heater's stuck on, nice in an Australian summer!

Here's a piccy of the beast. Handy being built in RHD for the Japan market, means we don't have to convert them.

Anyone know where the heater door actuator would be on a RHD model? Seems that this may be the problem with the a/c as it's got plenty of gas and is cold right up to the heater box. Otherwise it seems like a pretty good truck so far, ride's a little boat-like but that's to be expected in a US wagon.

Big job to get to the a/c heater. I had to get Bunce Motors to do mine. There's a plastic cog that diverts cold air and this splits & needs replacing. Whole dash need to come apart.
Other than that, you're right - good little truck. Especially with the steering on the right side!

There are loads of them here. (All used Jap imports - but then I'm sure you know).

I've found a thread that reckons you can get the switch out if you can get a socket in the small space; the vacuum switch comes out OK. I'll give it a go, there's heaps of switches on EBay but it's hard to find the correct one, as there's a manual and climate control one and the pins are different. Part #s all seem to change as well. I put a hex key in the hole on top of the switch to try to manually close it but there didn't seem to be anything below it- I'm wondering if the door's broken off. Also, anyone know how to service the sunroof? I'ts a bit creaky, and I have to fiddle with the switch to close it. It's thunderstorm season here, and I don't want it to jam half closed.
