I put a hex key in the hole on top of the switch to try to manually close it but there didn't seem to be anything below it- I'm wondering if the door's broken off. Also, anyone know how to service the sunroof? I'ts a bit creaky, and I have to fiddle with the switch to close it. It's thunderstorm season here, and I don't want it to jam half closed.
Hi, been there done that, if you have patience, small hands and a small socket of the correct size it is possible. Two bolts and a retaining pin hold the switch in place. On RHD vehicles like we have in the uk it is on the passenger side. as you say remove the vacume unit and it is just behind. Be ready for scratched nuckles and arms. Good luck.
