Sure, I'll let you know how it turns out. Getting a few more ideas too, I'll post when I get things straightened out.

Where you at in NC? I'm in the Jacksonville/Morehead City area myself, but I'm familiar with most of the state.

Welcome to the forum! Hurry up and get those pics or more people are gonna hound you about it.

I have some questions. Been looking through some sites for parts and want to know what will actually work. I'm looking to get my truck to around 210 HP without a super charger (Cause I don't have $4k to spend all at once). Maybe even some suggestions for "must-have" parts?

Here's my performance plan:
  1. Change all fluids (trans, brake, coolant, steering, even free-on) and have the tires aligned and rotated and change spark plugs.
  2. Install AEM Cold Air Kit and Flowmaster Super 44 Muffler.
  3. Install a Hypertech Power Programmer.
  4. Replace spark plugs with performance spark plugs as well as the wires.

After that, I am a bit lost on what the next step could be. I have limited knowledge with cars, I am learning more as I go.

Again thanks for the warm welcome!
That should probably net you around 210. Stock is 190ish, so it shouldn't take anything too drastic.

Why replace spark plugs if you are going to replace them with performance ones?

Ah cool.

Well, the ones that are there have been there for awhile. The performance plugs are going to be about $94 for a set of four, so it may be a little down the road before I get them. Sounds a little stupid, but I figure if I am going for a tune up I might as well get standard plugs for now.

hey man im just south of asheville. I got a 2001 ZR2 with a super 44 and its got a nice deep rumble. But if your wanting loud you should go with the 40 series welcome and good luck bud.

oh and also, i got 2 10's at around 500 watts and its more than enough to rattle the door panels but has a cleaner sound than 12's. Just a suggestion

Yes sir, the more low rumble is what I was going for, loud wasn't quite the priority.

Ah, two 10's? Hmmm.. may give that some thought, I am planning on replacing all of the speakers and the CD deck, but I'll take that into consideration for sure.

I used to live in Forsyth County for a good 10 years before I moved down here.
