04 blazer ls. Thats exactly what I fear the most is those bolts. Would love to hear your story on them.

 

Well normally for those, the older it is, the harder it gets..for me 5/10 got out without any problems, the rest either broke in half, or slipped...they're impossible to get from the inside unless you make a hole.... front ones are very easy(access from the top), rear ones, little bit tricky, removed the bumber, i had to drill a 1/4 hole from the side all the way inside the body nut and then stick a punch inside it in order to stop it from slipping, there i was able to unscrew them(you have to make the hole bigger in order to remove the old nuts and to be able to screw the new ones back after you put the blocks on). the worst was with the cabin ones, the good thing is that you can reach all of them from inside but you have to drill some holes on the floor, if they're slipping locate them approx, remove the carpet and then drill a hole the size of the box wich is 19 i think.. if they got out,I used a center punch to locate them exactly from inside after that , i was good to go! I used new longer forged bolts with 2x2 1/4 steel blocks with new rubber booses, covered the floor holes with sheet metal and windshield glue, spot welded the cabin frame holes buffed, painted em' and this it, it never happened
