New to forum...not new to s-series
Hello! Nice forum you guys have here. Lots of model specific information. I've been an s-series owner for 12 years, and have posted tons of posts on several s-series sites. I don't know how/why I didn't find out about this place until recently, but I'm glad I did. A little about me...
I've owned 4 s-series trucks since 1/97, starting with a 97 2.2l 5-speed regular cab sportside bed S10, then a 98 2.2l 5-speed reg cab ZQ8, then (my now current daily driver, which I originally bought for my wife) a 96 Jimmy 2-door 4x4, then an 86 Blazer 5-speed that I did a 3.4 swap with.
I started autocrossing the ZQ8 back in 2001, and got hooked on it. Here's a pic of that one....

I sold that truck back in 05 to get a more competitive car. So I bought my Camaro and have been autocrossiing it ever since....

For some reason I don't have a pic of my old 86 Blazer, but it was a fun project. It was a 5-speed, with 4.10's and a gov lock diff. I swaped in a low mileage donormaro 3.4 with Edelbrock headers, high flow cat, Dynomax ST muffler, Centerforce clutch/pp/t.o. bearing, 4.3 injectors, 4 core rad, and probably alot more stuff I don't remember. It was a great daily driver and I miss it alot. Unfortunately, the body wasgetting really rough really fast, so I traded it in on a 03 Liberty for my wife. The only good thing about that deal was now the Jimmy (which had been my wife's for4 years) was now my daily driver. Now I've been driving it for over 3 years and it's got 170kmiles on it. Oh, here's a pic..

That pic is about 2 years old. It started rusting pretty bad down low in front of the rear wheels on both sides. Couple bubbles on the rockers, and some on the driver-side fender. I didn't want to make the same mistake I made with the 86 so I did my best to repair it all. I cutout all the bad metal, and rivited in all new steel. Por15 on everything, a few coats of filler, then I sprayed Raptor bedliner spray from the bodyline down...all around, including the front/rear bumpers. I just did this last week, so I don't have any pics of it yet, but believe me, it looks awesome. I've fallen in love with it all over agian.
I've had all the common problems, and replaced alot of parts over the years. Plus all the 60*v6 info that Ihave stored away in the back of my brain from the 86. So I have experiences of my own that I'll be able to contribute to the site. Look forward to helping out however I can.
