Default New Guy Here!

Hey all!

I'm new to the blazer world somewhat... been about 12 years or so since I last owned a blazer and i finally bought another one about 6months ago identical to the 1991 K5 I owned back then. I love working on all things mechanical and have few projects I'm looking forward to getting advice on how to move forward with.

I bought it as a fun truck to have fun with and slowly build up into a truly sick ride but all depends on the wife :-)

It's a 1991 K5 model with the 5.7L (obviously - K code) and it is currently fuel injected... one of the first projects will be changing it to a carb motor... it is also automatic which will be another project if possible to convert to a manual tranny. I'll post these questions in the right area...

Anyhow... looking forward to chatting with some of you and getting some experienced sound advice.

Thanks again guys!

-Andy

welcome to the show brother.

X4 on the pic's.

question for ya, why would you want to swap out the EFI for a carb? and swapping over to stick is easy on the 3rd gen K's, just find yourself a donor truck (usually a pick-up), and take everything you need.
if you're really lucky (this would involve giving up the winning #'s for the lottery), you might even come across a late model Blazer/Jimmy (talking about the K's, not the S's) that was stick, 'cause they came with hydraulic clutches.
