Hello from Mentor, Ohio.
I'm currently driving a '04 Avalanche, Z66, and looking to downsize.
Sooo.... looking at the Blazer, 4.3\Auto\4x4. Probably 4 doors.... although the ZR2 looks neat.
What do I look for, what should I stay away from? Any particular problem areas to look at, when shopping?
Looking at 2002s to 2004s, in the $12k range.
Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum!
Some Common problems:
Crank it up and powerbrake it a little with the hood open to check that theengine mounts are doing their job.
Its possible that the driver's side door sags, lift up on it and check for loose motion.
Check and make sure the seat recline handles are not broken off.
Make sure the heat works.
And of course, make sure the body and undercarriageare in good condition.
Thats about all I can think of at the mo...

Just be very thorugh with it, checking bushings, ball joints, basically all the rubber, then hear it run. Ask alot of questions of the owner like were his work on it gets done or if he does it himself, stuff like that.
