Default New Here!

Hey guys, new member here!

I have a95 GMC Jimmy 2WD. 187K miles!

My dad had the car since 2000 and when I sold my old unreliable 86 Feiro GT in Januarymy dad gave me the Jimmy(He got a 2008 Saturn Vue)

Anyways it has a few Issues - Rough Idle and some general $hitty gas Mileage maybe 14 MPG average!

Anyways rather than just buy a new air filter, I'm thinking about buying an eBay CAI, but there are a ton of different ones out there, which one should I look at?

It's the 4.3 Vortec V-6 with the Intake plentium that says VORTEC on it! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Already did the plugs and wires and I had a mechanic do the EGR valve! I know I need a filter, but what else should I do, maybe run some Injector cleaner in the fuel?

Try out the search button and type in rough idle and see what you come up with. Welcome to the forum.

Well I slowed my highway speeds and I got 270 Miles to the tank, then added like 13.5 gallons o gas at 3.85 a gallon(ouch nothing like dropping $54 bucks inthe tank)! It was almost all highway miles, so is this good?Alsowhat is the size of the fuel tank, never had it fully empty, and not trying to either, and I have no trust in my gas gauge(these things run outta gas quickly(I never ran out, my dad did a number of times though)E means E). Also, It seems to only idle rough on start up and in really cold weather.
