Thanks guys...and it's official. I'm on the hunt for a jimmy or blazer. The lancer went to its new home tonight and I've got a couple prospects though, so we'll see what happens. The one I looked at last night was a joke. The guy bought it for 750 bucks (found the old add on kijiji.ca from the first owner with 300,000 km on the clock), he changed the cluster to one that read 112,000 km and is reselling it for 1000 bucks. What a crook.

I'm looking at around 3000 at the moment. I understand that it may be slim picking at that price range, BUT I'm very mechanically inclined and and no stranger to doing repairs/fixes. So certified or not, that's my budget as it sits now.

So I'm having one I looked at today towed to my shop here and it's getting looked over for a safety before I can make an offer on it. He's asking 2000 OBO. It's a 98, 229 000km, Leather, very little to no rust, 4.3, 4x4 works, no smoke on start up, new ball joints rear brakes and wheels bearings. It does need a windshield as its cracked right across but luckily I have a glass guy who will do one for 140 cash in my driveway.
I'm awaiting a report from my tech before I'll know if it's worth it...
