Hello everyone.
Im Steve.
I just picked up a 91 Blazer last week and have been researching every day since I got my truck. Almost every thing I have searched has shown a couple posts from this forum, so; I decided I should join and be a part of the forum.
Working on cars and trucks isn’t new to me, but it has been a while since I’ve owned anything I’m passionate about, until picking up this Blazer.
The body and frame are in good condition except for one spot in the floor that was poorly patched and one spot on the very front of the frame rails.
I got certified to weld on mig and stick back in the day, and wanted to start learning how to tig weld but never bought my own welder. With the body and frame needing a little bit of TLC, I decided it’s a perfect time to also pick up an ac/dc tig welder.
The inside needs a lot of work; the tailgate window only works going up from outside, the side windows are slow as hell, the radio doesn’t work, and almost all of the panels need to be replaced. I’ve already picked up the relays for the relay mods on the windows, a new rear window motor, new stereo, and 36 sq feet of sound deadening. I have also sourced the third row seats from a Tahoe to replace the back seats.
I’m glad that I found this forum and will be using it often. Thank you in advanced to everyone, and I hope to also one day contribute to others as everyone here has done.
