Hello All.... Long time owner 76 K5. Currently down with a tired engine. I do hope to have it running again soon.

Well I finally thought I had my chance. I had a location that although not ideal, would have allowed me to work inside and I could have rolled the truck back far enough to work still inside but with the back half of the truck outside. I even bought enough chain and a receiver mount for a winch I already had. The bay in the Garage I was going to use had a back door directly in line and a tree about fifty feet into the back yard. The truck would just fit under the rolled up garage door and besides changing the engine, I could have fixed all the other little things that it needs........But then the people the house belong to decided to let some freeloaders move in and a year later they still can't get them out. I guess it just was not meant to be.

Welcome to the forum! I grew up in an '85 K5...very fun truck.

Squatter's rights is such a pain to deal with. Good luck in seeking a Blazer refuge.

Thanks, I'm going to need it. As we speak I'm placing Jack Stands under it to take the weight off the tires. I have already had the sidewalls fail on two of the tires, and as close to the garage door as it currently is, I don't need it to move forward and screw up the garage door or roll to one side and push the brush guard into the door frame.
