Hello, New to the forum, I'm currently on the Market for a chevy blazer xtreme, I have always been attracted to these trucks, I found an 01 with about 120k miles for 5k, extremely clean, is this a good deal? Also I would like to hear from blazer owners, is the motor good? What are some issues I should expect? Thanks a lot!

So 5k is Pricey? It's the only truck I found in my area, there is a few other one that are asking 7k+

 

I suppose it could be that your area is a higher priced area, so you'd need to take that into account.

 

My new ride

So this morning I bought my first Blazer, it's an 01 Blazer Xtreme, I have been attracted to these trucks since they first came out, very nice looking truck. I saw an opportunity to get my hands on one and I capitalized. Now for my first day of driving, I must say, I thought the truck would be a little more powerful. It seems like I have to really smash down on the gas to get the thing to move, maybe some minor upgrades will fix this. The truck is very noisy and I can feel every thing on the road. I do live in South Florida btw, pot hole city! Lol the engine is also very loud, like vacuum cleaner loud, not exhaust. Again, maybe some minor details might help (I'm still doing research on this site). As for handling, it's ok, would like it to be alittle tighter. Other then that, I'm very happy with my purchase and can't wait to start working on making it an Awesome truck! All input is welcome, thanks!

I tinted the windows, almost did the tail lights but decided to hold off on that for now.

 

Welcome! They're like 2 door tahoes.. Only worth it because no one can find them. Supply and demand. Worth it to the right buyer. Personally I'd pay 5-6 for a full size so would you pay it for an xtreme?
