New User in Search of Wisdom
Hello, my name is Jon. I live in western Oregon.
I own a 1986 K5 with a previously done 350 replacement of the blown stock 305. It has its original TH700R4 (with shift kit) and 4.56 gears (installed by previous owner).
I decided it's time for me to start taking care of it myself. It's been a pretty reliable ride since I bought it about six years ago, with only minor issues coming up besides basic maintenance stuff one should expect on a 4x4.
I came across this site thanks to Google and am hoping that the wisdom of the more experienced users might help me find and fix issues that I'm currently having or that arise.
I am an offroad amateur when it comes to 4x4 activities in general, but am a long time user of the Oregon dunes and hope to get my Blazer to a point where I feel confident driving it to the coast, spending some time on the sand (nothing extreme) and being able to drive home.
