As the title says I'm a newbie who just purchased a 2003 ZR2 Blazer. Did a lot of research before I bought it, researching the spider injector problems, Oil sending gauge problems, Passlock problems, and the rear end sag, but still wound up buying it anyways since I got a great deal on it. Its a 2003 with of course the 4.3 vortec, automatic, has AC, power everything, sun roof, remote start, 130,000 miles. Seems to run good but I've only had it on the road about a week. I've been researching problems because while driving home with my little Ford Ranger 4x4, my oil pressure flat-lined and I lost the engine. It had been running perfect until then. Wound up being a $50 part called a camshaft synchronizer, supposedly a common problem with telltale symptoms that sometimes dont show up (My case). So in closing, I will probably be on here picking everyone's brains for hopefully a very long time.
Thanks. Just did my first mileage check, 105 miles on 6.02 gallons, 19 mpg. is this common or an anomaly? 90% highway driving and taking it easy, nothing over 75, mostly 70 and below.
