Just wanted to say hello. I'm new to this forum and here's the kicker... I don't even own a GM product. Ya, I know, but here's the reason I'm here. I'm a Machinist by trade, a locomotive diesel mechanic and a back yard mechanic. I do all my own work from bumper to bumper and I work on a lot of family and friend's vehicles. Last weekend, I drove 287 miles to a dealership in another state with a friend who purchased a 2002 Chevy Blazer ZR2 and I drove it home for him. Since then, he has asked me tons of questions about how to do this and that. Since I work mainly on Fords, I needed some advice to help me with my inexperience on GM products. And, from what I've seen so far, they appear to be a lot easier to work on than Fords. In fact, I'm so tired of fighting with Fords, I might just have to go and buy me a Chevy; or maybe a Buick. Anyway, that's why I'm here and I hope to have many meaningful and useful conversations here. Thank you for providing this tool for everyone out there that needs help from time to time.

Okay, I've gone and purchased a GMC Envoy Denali! It's loaded with every option and is like new inside and out. It has a 5.3L V8, moon roof, navigation, power leather heated seats, memory settings, wood grain, rear DVD entertainment and air ride. I guess this makes me official... or does it? It's not a Blazer.
