Smile Newbie from MI

Hello to all, just wanted to say thanks for all the good info on the forum.
I have a 99 Jimmy with 107k and I imagine I will be needing some DIY info sometime. I am not very mechanical, but I have done things like brakes, front wheel hub replacement, seafoam, plugs and wires, driveshaft rebuild etc. One tip I have learnt about my jimmy is always grease ball joints with the wheels off the ground. Also dump the Dex cool unless you flush your sytem every 2 years. Just my opinion.

Cheers,
Chris

Another warm welcome from New Zealand.
You seem mechanical minded to me by your list. LOL

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I guess I have become more mechanical by the need to save some cash, but it always seems like it takes me twice as long to fix something than a normal DIYourselfer. For example I just did door pins and bushings over the holiday and it took 1 1/2 hours. Anyway thank goodness for this helpful forum and all the willing members.
Cheers
Chris

Well it takes a while if you have never done something but after you have done it a few times it takes half the time.

I do like my truck, but hopefully I wont have to do a lot of these things more than once. Whats nice though is that this forum has some good write ups to help avoid some pitfalls and rookie mistakes.
