Still out of town, working. Brought the Jimmy in to a body shop here not at home because of a time limitation on the repair.(Insurance company) sitting out side talking on the phone. Hear a cracking and I look over towards the noise just in time to see the basketball pole ,hoop come down on my jimmy. The white fiberglass backboard hit the windshield (didnt break left a mark on it I could only get off with a razor blade) bounced down the hood onto the far fender top while the pole customized the near fender top! Iwas stammering incoherently to buddy on tthe phone in shock and disbelief! Also getting them to blast and clean up the door bottoms in and out (some rust blisters starting to form) the rockers and fenders and rear dog legs, under the tailgate. Get it back Monday. Nice to get the hood and fenders done lots of rock chips from driving all over the province for work. At the time i was choked!! Big time!!! Now ,reflecting back on that moment I chuckle and smile every time. What I would give to have had a video of my face and heard my stammering to buddie. Lol :-D

Finally got the Jimmy back this week from the body shop. Had to take it back three times, but it's right now. Yesterday went to Walmart to speak to the manager about ordering in some Goodyear 31.5 winters. Calling them for about a month but they had none, can't place an order as they come when they come and no idea when an order is coming in. So I finally got ahold of the manager and he told me they don't carry winters could possible order all season. I truly felt that the manager just didn't care! Easy remedy! Canadian Tire. Ended up with their brand of winters. 31" x 15" for $165 a tire. Still twice ended up explaining twice "why big tires for a jimmy?" Explained in a month or so putting in 5" BDS Suspension lift. Now that winters showing its ugly head I'll need good winters to get through a few mountain passes to get home to Kelowna. P.S. don't think they would of fit with out 2" body lift even though their only 31's and not 31.5's

So started on my lift. My leafs have 2 diffrent size bushings 2" dia and 1 3/4" dia. Went to a few parts places and the dealer. No go on 2". GM discontinued the one. Gave North Shore Off Road a call (Vancouver) Monday gonna look through loose urethane bushings and give me a call! If that don't work there's a plastic shop in town, I heard I can get the urethane there in dowel form. So I suppose I could buy some and have it machined (turned on lathe). I've looked on the forum to see about removing the bushings in the frame. So any advice that dosen't entale fire to burn them out of frame? Or is it gonna be a drill bit show?
