Oil pressure

Default Oil pressure

Hi I have a 1998 blazer with 170000 miles I was driving down the highway lost oil pressure pulled over checked the dip stick still has oil on it no leaks or puddles on ground or different color smoke if anybody can help that will be appreciated thank you.

No Rod knock? Oil cooler hoses in tact? is the oil level to the top of the crosshatched area of the stick? I dont have the information infront of me for bench testing a pressure sender but if you can find one cheap try replacing the sender, and visually inspect the wiring for it. its on the back of the block, drivers side, next to the distributor, its wayy down there attached to a stub/housing pointing rearward.

I had an oil pressure sender go out on me once on my old 92. It was a nerve-wracking 120 mile drive home! Fortunately it was only the sender unit.
