Please help
I have a 95 blazer 4x4 LT 2nd generation. So this morning before going to work I drove down the street about 5 blocks to the gas station and on my way back home it kinda loss power I guess I would push the gas pedal and it would kinda bogged then proceed but struggled to get into 2nd (not sure if it actually got there) when I noticed this intense burning smell and by the time I pulled into my driveway I had smoke coming from behind the front drivers side tire somewhere I’m not sure where it was coming from didn’t have time to really look at it because I had to go to work. I don’t have a obd 1 code reader but ordered the adapter to connect to the obd2. And the only light that stays on is the anti lock brake light stays on and occasionally the service engine lite comes on but doesn’t stay on. Replaced the shocks yesterday was the only thing I did and now this. Any ideas on what it is or could be?
Check if your wheels are locking up and/or a caliper is puking brake fluid. I get my vehicle up to 5 mph and then put it in neutral with foot off the brake. If a brake(s) is sticking the last few feet will be a sharp speed drop to zero mph. If the wheels are all free then the coast to zero is very slow and smooth.
