Southern Minnesota Blazer
Just noticed this section...
I just bought a 1995 Blazer LS 4x4 4-door off Craigslist. It has 206K miles, with the transmission replaced 25K ago, as well as a bunch of work on the front end. It's full of squeaks and rattles. I need to take a Phillips screwdriver and tighten everything down.
It's a Minnesota truck, so it's got some rust here and there. It's much less rusty than the truck it's replacing, though, a 1989 Bronco II.
I'm expecting to have to put some money into it. However, it's a big step up for me from the Bronco. I'm not an off-roader, and the Bronco seems to be a much better off-road vehicle than it is a road cruiser; you feel every bump and jolt.
This is my second Blazer. I bought a 1987 S-10 Blazer new in late 1986 and drove it for 143,000 miles before trading it in on a 1992 Explorer. Boy, was that ever a mistake. The Blazer had thrown 4 $500 repairs at me in the space of two months, and I had decided that was enough...
