Southwest Ohio Shoutout!!!
Sorry about the delayed hello.
Off Craigslist I picked up my 2000 2dr. 2wd. about three mounths ago. 93K on the odometer, a few small pings (with exception to the hood and fenders) but absolutely no rust.
The (KID) that owned it before me managed to get himself stuck in the last big snow we had and messed up the motor in the process of trying to get himself out.
In his fit of rage he took the tire iron to the hood and tops of both fenders. (KIDS!!!)
Ended up getting it pulled and towed only to give it up the the garage that looked at it for him.
When I looked at it, it ran but knocked so loud I was afraid to drive it. The (KID) who onwned it was a complete slob. The interior was abused to put it lightly.
I ended up gettn it for $900, so far I've invested close to $1800.
Got a good motor, just got to fix a few running issues (gremlins). Scored the entire interior from a guy on Craigslist. Fixed worn door pins on both sides. Replaced front sway bar links, idler arm, and shocks. Found the front end pieces, just need to get them painted.
The truck rides great and is a big comfort upgrade to the 2500 HD Sierra I've been driving for the past number of years.
I love the looks of these little trucks/wagons, if the body holds up maybe down the line I'll use the spare 5.7 vortec out of my Sierrra and make a sleeper
For know it's fix what needs fixing and enjoy the ride.
This is a great site for need to know info and a chance to help where I can.
Talk to you'all later.
P.S. I'm not the best speller so don't grade the grammer!!
