Default TCCM repair/rebuild

I bought my '01 LT in 2019 with no functioning four wheel drive. Had to replace the TCCM. Easy fix but now it is acting up. I just pulled the fuses and reset it but now I'm wondering if I need to start looking for a replacement again. Has anyone here ever repaired their own TCCM that failed? I swear I saw a post somewhere that described replacing a diode that goes bad but I can't find the info now.

Did you replace the TCCM with a used or new unit? I was fortunate and was able to replace mine with a new one and haven't had any issues since at least 2010.

I got a used one since I'm not a fan of aftermarket if I don't have to. I could not get a new OEM TCCM. Trying to stay original, this is why I would like to fix my old TCCM if I can.

If you find instructions on how to repair them or identify where the failures are in these, be sure to post it. I'm sure others would find that information super useful.
