Default would this kit work?

http://www.nitrousexpress.com/produc...ls.php?id=1458
possible with this too
http://www.nitrousexpress.com/produc...ls.php?id=1357
with a purge valve
actually it says it will lower 1/4 mile times .2 of a second
so is .1 in the 1/8 worth 130 bucks?

Work? Yes.... Worth it? Naw man....

Seriously, I don't think Nitrous/forced induction is "good" on stock engines, but as long as you are not pushing it EXTREMELY HARD.... you could be O.K.

If you have a newer/properly maintained engine. And you only use it once or twice a month in quick bursts. It's not too bad as Wlorton said. Actually the 4.3's take good to forced induction and even nitro. It's just moderation and setting and maintaining ever thing to a t.

Last thing you wan't is your block to be a bowl for piston soup. lol Personally I don't feel it's worth it for .1 second in the 1/8th unless your already in brackets and your trying to just squeze into that last notch. But if you have a show truck or just a real clean daily and you want to install it for the look and maybe put a led in the purge spray and make it look cool and run a tad bit quicker every now and agian, then it might be worth it for you.

Why not go for power thats always available and just get a CAI, exhaust, or a tune? Then look into n2o. Build your base power from stock. Ya dig?

Google Hot rod v6 build up.... they bored out the 262 a little bit and manage like 300hp and then over 400hp-500hp with a charger...

yea i was only thinking maybe a 75 shot
and ive already done cai and exhaust and am ordering me a pcm4less tune
and yea hot rod magizine has that article
its neat and they made it for cheap
but they also ported and polished, got long tubes, cam, pistons, and a intake manifold
its a little out of my budget for now but would be cool as hell

For a cheap effective power upgrade, yeah it's worth it. Use caution as everyone has said, but I dont see a 75shot here and there doing too much serious damage. Im assuming youre not looking to build a dedicated track vehicle, just something fun to drive that pulls respectable times at the track. If you can swing it I dont see why not.

That Hot Rod 4.3 build article is actually in two phases, so be sure and read them both. They are fantastic and informative.
The Vortech supercharger kit they used is not in production anymore, but I've seen used one around.
They also did a blow thru carb set up. That was a really, really, big reason they were able to do the build on a budget.

A friend of mine has his 4.3 s10 in the low 12s on a stock motor with some spray, built and stalled auto, and a beefed up 10 bolt. I'm honestly surprised his high milage 4.3 takes so many passes at 125 shot.

Its really not worth the n2o. I knew a guy with a neon (I know I know) that had that same kit. He really didn't gain anything. Its not like going from putt putt to Braaaaaaap, Vrooooooom. I would seriously consider saving more money and grabbing the Wynjammer Supercharger that Rottidog has. He got a thread about it on here. Called something goofy.
