Default 4x4

I was out mudding today and got stuck, and when i mean stuck, i mean up to my doors in mud.
i dont have pictures of me in it, but i have a picture of the aftermath of the rut. pictures of my truck soon to be on here.

its the ruts toward the back of the picture.

But, thats not the point of this.
my 4x4 wouldn't lock in Neutral,
hence the reason i got stuck

i get unstuck and pulled out by my friends hummer,
and i put my car in park, and try it one more time to 4x4.
in park it works, but not neutral.
Whats up with that?????
anyone else have this issue?

Thanks,
Dan

Does 4lo light just flash when in neutral? Can you hear/feel the t-case actuator shifting?

if so just shift into drive after u hear the actuator switch, it will lock into 4lo and the light will stay lit solid. The light on mine flashes when in neutral but not when in park similar to yours. I do this all the time and never had a problem, u just need to wait until you hear/feel the t-case shift before putting it in drive.

This makes me want to go off-roading. I've been itchin' to go off-roading since I got the Jimmy a few months ago. I don't know anyone else around me that goes and I don't have any lift and I have radials. Not a good combo for off-roading. :/

Not sure why, but no pics will load for me...
I opened it in a new tab and it loaded, but it wouldn't load in the thread. Looks like a hell of a rut lol. Wish I could have seen your truck in there. Post up pics of the aftermath of your truck!!

Nah it will say its in 4wd with the lights, but it wont actually shift.
but as soon as i put it in park and try it, it goes right away.

And this my friends is why a digital camera is a required part of your off road gear! It won't help you get unstuck but it will give your friends something to laugh at when you get home.

Nice Mudhole!

Hope you get it fixed. Mine won't go into 4Lo in drive, I have to shift to neutral, then it goes right in. On my Sonoma I have to put it in neutral and push the clutch all the way in.
